populated states of India, bordered by China, Bhutan and Myanmar. There are
five major rivers - Kameng, Subansiri, Siang (later the Brahmaputra in Assam),
Lohit and Tirap and the mountain ranges follow the river systems. The state is
the home of the complex mix of various communities, who are friendly, colourful
and simple people. The rich flora ranges from the Alpine to the subtropical,
from rhododendrons to orchids. Its verdant forests, tumultuous streams,
condescending mountains and snow clad peaks make it a unique destination.
The Land has got a mythological importance and the widely
scattered archeological remains at different places bears testimony to its rich
cultural heritage. The arts and colourful festivals are carried through ages.
The strong faith on age old traditional beliefs and power of nature is still
evident.

Detail Tour Program
Day 01: Bangkok/Kolkata/Delhi- Guwahati
Morning drive to the airport for flight to Guwahati (gateway to North East,
India). Received upon arrival and transferred to hotel. Day free at your,
leisure. Evening, sunset cruise on river Bramhaputra. Overnight in hotel.
Day 02: Tezpur
After breakfast you will be transferred to Balipara (Tezpur), the place is the
home of Assam’s famous Tea Garden. Afternoon, check into the Heritage Tea
Bunglow. Overnight in Tea Bunglow.
Day 03: Bomdila
After breakfast, transfer to Bomdila through beautiful roads Offering panoramic
views of Himalayan landscapes and snow clad Mountains. You can see many
Buddhist prayer flags flattering on the roadside shrines. Apple orchards can be
seen in plenty, on the way. Overnight in hotel.
Tawang: It is one most
important place of a Buddhism follower, the birth place of 6th Dalai Lama and
having the second biggest monastery of the world (after Potala in Lhasa),
housing over 500monks. Tawang has been made famous by its monasteries and
nunneries. While entering Tawang the mighty SELA Pass at an elevation of
13750ft. will greet you.
Day 04: Tawang
After breakfast transfer to Tawang (3334m) amidst pine forest. Enroute visit
the world’s second highest pass SELA PASS (4215m) which runs through a small
ridge and along a placid lake called the Paradise Lake, and Trout hatchery at
Nuranang just below the pass before entering the land of Lamaist Buddhist.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 05: Tawang
(Sightseeing)
We will set out to visit the famous Tawang Monastery, which is the birth place
of 6th Dalai Lama. The monastery houses over 500 lamas of Gelugpa (Reformed)
sect of Mahayana Buddhist Monks. You can see a 10m high gilded statue of Lord
Buddha and several other sculptures, thangkas and priceless manuscripts of
Buddhism. You can also a craft centre producing woolen carpets. Overnight in
hotel.
Day 06: Dirang
Today we will cross the Sela Pass and spend some time at the Yak breeding
farm at Dirang Valley and Apple Orchard. You will also be taken to Kalachakra
Gumpha and holy Hot Spring. Overnight in hotel.
Day 07: Nameri
National Park
In the morning we will drive down through the turning & twisted roads
amidst the forest stretches to Nameri National Park (km), the youngest National
Park of Assam. Situated in Sonitpur district of Assam and the home of four rare
wild cats. Night stay will be at the eco camp inside the park.
Day 08: Nameri
National Park
Early morning nature walk inside the National Park after breakfast Return for a
picnic lunch by the riverside. Raft down river Jia Bhorali. Return to camp for
overnight stay.
Day 09: Itanagar
Morning free for Angling, river rafting .Afternoon drive to our next
destination, Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh. This modern town was
built on the bank of river Siang (Bhramhaputra), on the vicinity of the ruins
of the medieval capital, on the way visit museum. Overnight in hotel.
Day 10: Ziro
After breakfast we will visit Naharlagun, where the 6th Dalai Lama was born. We
will next drive to Ziro. Overnight in circuit house.
Day 11: Ziro
After breakfast, we will enjoy the beauty of Ziro which is situated in a very
picturesque level valley of Apatani Plateau surrounded by pine-covered
mountains. Today our sightseeing will start with a round up of the local
village and then we will visit the Museum, Craft Centre and to see the Tarin
Fish Farm (a high altitude fish farm).Evening you can enjoy the local folklore
and music. Overnight in circuit house.
Day 12: Daporijo
Early morning drive on to Daporijo (160km) the headquarters of Upper Subansiri
district and is situated on the right bank of River Subansiri. Places of
interest are the local villages in and around and beautiful caves a few for
overnight stay Govt. circuit house.
Day 13: Along
After breakfast drive to an Adi Galong tribal village. Enjoy your time with
the colourful locals where times seems to standstill. Next day we will move to
Along (160km). On reaching Along check in for accommodation in Govt. circuit
house.
Siang River: Popularly
known as Bramhaputra as it descends in the plains of Assam. It has originated
in the Manas Sarovar in Tibet and then enters into India through Arunachal
Pradesh. This majestic river offers an array of activities like angling,
kayaking, rafting
Day 14: Pasighat
Early morning drive to Pasighat enroute visit Adi (Minyong) tribal village
to see the colourful peoples and experience their culture. Later drive to
Pasighat, the head quarter of East Siang district. Overnight in circuit house.
Day 15: Dibrugarh
After a leisurely morning, we will drive to Dibrugarh after crossing the mighty
Siang River (Bhramhaputra). We will check into century old bunglow, you can
enjoy the evening with a cup of hot Assam Tea, sitting on the lawn. Overnight
inside the bunglow in the tea estate.
Day 16: Transfer to
Dibrugarh Airport.
After breakfast in the hotel, drive to the airport in time to catch up your
