Important Note:
All visitors coming to Bhutan must have a visa approval prior to their arrival. Except travellers from India, Bangladesh, Maldieves, all visitors to Bhutan require visa. Visas are issued only when a confirmed booking through a Bhutanese operator is made. Air tickets to Bhutan can only be issued  once the visa is confirmed. Your visa will be processed by the travel agent that you choose to travel with.

A Bhutanese visa is issued only by the Department of Immigration after receiving the full tour payment in the account of Tourism Council of Bhutan, Thimphu.
Passport: You are required to have a valid passport with at least six month’s validity from the date of your departure.

Please, be informed that no foreign Embassies/ Missions/Agencies can issue Bhutan visa.

1. Please, send the tour payment to Discovery Bhutan Inc, C/O Tourism Council of Bhutan upon the receipt of the tour invoice from us.
2. Please, fill up the visa application form and have it sent to Bhutan Discovery by fax No.00975 2 333846 or email to discoverybhutan@gmail.com
3. As soon as we get your visa clearance letter from the Department of Immigration, we will email a scanned copy to you.
4. Please, make sure that you bring a printout copy of the visa clearance letter with you as you will be asked to produce it at the airport before you board the flight to Bhutan.
5. The actual visa will be stamped in your passport upon your arrival to Bhutan. The visa fee of US$20 will be collected by the tour operator while making your tour payment.
6. In case, you need to extend your visa, it can be done with extension fee of Nu. 510.00 in Thimphu only.
